When Jordan reached out to me via Instagram about her wedding, I had never heard of Cattleya Chapel when she told me where it was. Cattleya Chapel is located about halfway between Orlando and Miami in the beachtown of Vero Beach, FL. Although I’m a born and raised Florida-native, I couldn’t believe I’d never come across this gorgeous little chapel. Granted, it’s on private property but STILL!
I sent Jordan our Q/A to tell me more about her wedding plans, her vision, style of it, and most importantly — what about her wedding day she wanted to be caught on film & audio or else would have all the FOMO if she didn’t (my favorite question to ask our brides — TRULY — this helps me discover what they really care about beyond all the decor and tangible extras that go into wedding planning )
Wedding day moments that I made sure were important in her film (even if footage is shakey and home video feeling, I like these moments to play out more thoroughly):
- Her first look with her some Cam — seriously the most precious moment when his eyes are being covered and he reached out to Jordan’s legs saying “I love you Mommy”
- Jordan & Mason’s first dance — choreographed and all! As a dancer, I particularly love planned dances ♀️
- Jordan also had a first look with her bridesmaids! She works in fashion & jewelry and owns her own boutique called Tangled Rose Boutique in Vero Beach, FL. Her boutique gives me all the cute, beachside, sunny-weather, shabby-chic vibes.
These are just a few which you’ll see in the film. And like I said — even if these moments arent the most cinematic on my stabilizer, they hold so much value and importance so I truly feel like there’s a point where as a videographer you have to throw the techy/nerdy pickiness out the windy and just make sure your couples see these special moments play out (and if they want even more, thankfully that’s what RAW footage is great for! )
