When we were filming the wedding ceremony, and heard the officiant’s speech about what love is, I knew right away that was going to be the overarching theme for this wedding film. Paula and Billy met 30 years ago – YES, 30 years ago, as kids! Childhood sweethearts, that went their separate ways in life. My inner hopeful romantic side is that it was pure destiny that life brought them back together. Now, as newlyweds – with Paula’s 2 sons and Billy’s 1 son – they have a thriving mixed family that was already a family well before they even had this wedding day. Hence, you don’t have to have a wedding ceremony to have a marriage.
